Questions

How many spots are there?

We're starting with 5 Sleep Clouds in Australia. Each one is ordered for you when you book, which is why delivery takes 28 to 35 days. A spot is yours once you've booked and paid the A$50. When the 5 are booked, we'll start a list for the next round.

Who is it for?

Endurance athletes who take their training seriously, from age groupers to pros, and climbers getting ready for an expedition. We'll tell you on the call if it's the right fit.

How loud is it?

About 31 dB at the pillow, with the altitude generator placed away from the bed.

How does set-up work?

Your bed stays where it is and the frame goes up around it. It usually takes 1 to 2 hours and needs no installer. The generator can sit outside the bedroom, with the air piped in. Then you pair it with the app and set your altitude.

What do I need at home?

A power point for the generator, another for the sensor inside the Sleep Cloud, and strong 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi where they sit.

King or Queen?

King: 2.35 m long and 2.35 m wide. Queen: 2.15 m long and 1.95 m wide. Both are 1.95 m high.

Can two people share the bed?

Yes. The F10 that comes with the hire is fine for two. Everyone inside the Sleep Cloud is at the altitude you set, including your partner, so choose the setting together.

What if something stops working?

Tell us. We help by phone or video first, then repair or swap it, usually within 5 business days. You don't pay rent for days you couldn't use it because of a fault.

Can I send it back early?

Yes, whenever you finish, including after one expedition. If you change your mind and return it early, the minimum rent stays the same: six payments, A$2,970 in total. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law aren't affected.

What happens at the end?

We email you 30 days and 7 days before your end date and send the courier label. Please keep the original packaging: there's no charge if you do, and replacing it costs at least A$50. There's no cleaning fee. We check everything within 5 business days and refund your bond within 14 days after that. To keep going, tell us before your end date and carry on, 30 days at a time.

What if I cancel before it's sent?

We refund what you've paid, and you owe nothing more. If it hasn't arrived within 56 days of booking, you can also cancel and we refund everything.

Why do you check my ID?

The Sleep Cloud, generator and sensor are worth thousands of dollars, so we check who we're sending them to. Your ID goes straight to Stripe's secure page, not through our website or email. We can view the check there, but we don't keep our own copy, and we ask Stripe to delete it once your hire is settled. Stripe may keep its own copy as the law allows.

What if it's lost or not returned?

You pay its replacement value, which is the retail price: A$6,290 for the F10 Altitude Generator, A$1,690 for the Wi-Fi Oxygen Sensor, and A$2,500 for a King Sleep Cloud or A$2,300 for a Queen.

Can I keep or buy it at the end?

No. Everything comes back to us, and this hire doesn't include an option to buy. If you'd like your own system, talk to us.

Who can hire?

You must be 18 or over and live in Australia. The gear stays at your delivery address unless we agree otherwise.
